#WednesdayVibes Clean Eating for Dat A$$

Healthy, healthy, healthy, BLAH BLAH BLAH…

The number one reason why your diet isn’t working is because it’s entirely TOO strict. You’ve eliminated everything EXCEPT fruits and vegetables and you think you’re going to succeed?

Now, don’t get me wrong, some may be able to follow a strict fruits and veggie diet with no problem, BUT MOST CAN’T, including me!! Eating clean is more than just salads with low-fat dressings and misery. It can be so much FUN!

Listed below are foods you can enjoy, guilt free!

Dairy

  • yogurt (greek yogurt is more ideal)
  • cheese (opt for mozzarella)
  • almond milk (unsweetened)

Poultry

  • egg whites
  • chicken (boneless and skinless)
  • turkey (boneless and skinless)

Fish and Seafood (when buying fish, make sure the label says “wild caught” and not “farm raised”)

  • salmon (grilled or baked)
  • tilapia (grilled or baked)
  • tuna
  • flounder (grilled or baked)

All Fruits and Veggies (bananas, grapes, grapefruits, spinach, broccoli, zucchini, and collard greens are some of my favs)

Beverages

  • Tea
    • green tea
    • oolong tea
    • black tea
  • Coffee

Oatmeal

Beans (lentils, black beans)

Brown rice

Nuts (raw nuts)

W H O L E – W H E A T S!!

If you’re looking for condiments, try mustard (without added sugar), and honey is great as a sweetener too.

Just like almost everything you do in life, it takes practice.

Start off by eliminating fried foods, sugars, sodas, and anything with too many carbs! Thank me later.

I found a Cauliflower Pizza recipe on Pinterest and literally got my life! I used all clean ingredients and it was super filling and yummy. With only 74 calories per slice, it was probably the best thing I’ve ever had. Check out Pinterest for some more clean recipes and alternatives to your favorite dish!
