How I lost 4lbs in FIVE days WITHOUT starving myself:
If you’re looking for an instant detox to lose some stubborn pounds or to jumpstart a diet, this may be the cleanse for you.
First things first, during this cleanse, I aimed to eat at least 1300 calories and no more than 1500 calories each day. I also made sure to eat at least 135-140grams of protein each day as well. This makes the difference! When you’re eating a balanced diet, while removing breads, cheese, and meat from your daily routine, IT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE!
Switching to an organic, plant-based diet allows your cells to work optimally to re-establish efficient internal messaging and manufacturing processes. So basically, there are benefits all around.
FIVE-DAY CLEANSE: CHOOSE A SMOOTHIE FROM EACH CATEGORY:
- Make sure to have at least one “detox” smoothie each day. Depending on how much protein you need, drinking 4-5 smoothies are okay. If you are still hungry, add a “snack” or “detox” smoothie option. Learn how to calculate your macronutrients here: For easy protein calculations, try to eat .8g per pound you weight. I weigh about 144-145lbs (currently, thanks to this cleanse) so I’ll aim to eat 135-145g protein.
BREAKFAST – LUNCH – DINNER – Pick one smoothie for each meal: Some recipes have two scoops of protein powder, I made it this way in order to fulfill my amount of protein for each day … so adjust accordingly.
POST – WORKOUT – it’s best to add carbs after your workout and lots of protein, which is why these are best for after a workout.
SNACKS – these are snacks because they are low calorie, and don’t contain protein powder… if you would like to try one of these options for Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner, simply add protein powder.

I think all of the smoothies were pretty tasty… The “detox” smoothies could have been a little better butttttt, I mean, they weren’t too bad. Also, try replacing pecans with walnuts or almonds for less calories. You can also adjust the smoothies according to your liking.
